This heaping mound of pure yumminess was today's favorite dish. Seriously, I don't think there was a person in the room (besides Addison) who was strong enough to leave it alone for more than a minute or two!! And for that, I fully accept all the blame.
I was introduced to this delicious dish of cranberry craziness a couple weeks ago while I was at the mom's group that I attend once a month. I swear, the second this appetizer touched my lips I knew I had to introduce everyone else to it, too. So, I vowed to make it for Thanksgiving. And I did.
Well, actually, Meghan did, and she did a fabulous job! In fact, I'm pretty sure everyone's hips are thanking her.
So, in keeping with my vow to make sure I have introduced everyone to this awesome (and-oh-so- easy) recipe........here ya go!
You wanted to join a gym in January anyway, right?!
Cranberry Cream Cheese Appetizer
1 8-ounce brick of cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
2 Tbsp honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
1/3 cup slivered almonds
Assorted crackers
Make It!
In a small bowl beat cream cheese, sour cream, honey and cinnamon until smooth then spread onto a serving dish or plate. In another bowl, stir cranberry sauce until it reaches a spreading consistency and spread over the cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with almonds. Cover and chill for 2 to 3 hours. Serve with crackers and enjoy!

{Trays of Thanks}
These printables, some jute and a few "fallish" plates
plus.....
a few packages of these cookies from Target
equals....
these trays that we brought to a few of our friends today.
Quick. Easy. Perfect for the non-bakers like me. Yet a totally thoughtful way to let people know you're thankful that they are in your life!

Fall Blessing Mix.
It's a total blessing that there was even anything left of this Blessing Mix for me to even take a picture of because this mix is just that good.
And addicting.
And super easy to make.
Fall Blessing Mix
1- Bag of Bugles
1- Bag of M&M's
1- Bag of Corn Candy
1- Bag of Sunflower Nuts
1- Bag of Pretzels
1- Box of Raisins
Combine above ingredients in a large bowl or ziploc bag in the amounts that appeal to you, then consume!
Just don't blame me when you need to attend a Blessings Mix Anonymous support group!

Count Me In!
The Happy Day project was launched the other day over at Joy's Hope.
I'm so excited for this I can hardly stand it!
Seriously, what an awesome idea and so totally fitting for November.
Granted I still haven't actually completed Julie's last challenge, which totally makes me a slacker, I know.
I meant to do it.
I want to do it.
But life has been so chaotic and so busy the past few weeks.
Which really isn't an excuse....but yet it is an excuse.....
But all the same, here's the tentative schedule for next week:
I have to admit I'm a little nervous though.
Partly because I haven't finished last month's challenge yet.
And partly because I think a couple of the things are going to be tough for me to do.
But then again, it's always good to step out of your comfort zone at times...... I mean, isn't that how we grow as people??
Well, no matter what, COUNT ME IN!

A Little Late To The Party.
I know, I know, I'm a little late to the Crock Pot Girls party. All I can say is: holy cow!
I'm all about my crock pot these days. It's the only way I can get dinner on the table without having to call 1-800-DOMINOS every night or hitting McDonalds drive-thru.
So I "liked" them on Facebook, which is HUGE, because I rarely "like" anybody on Facebook. And I have been stalking their website. And I have been plowing through their You Tube videos.
And because we love baked potato soup in our house and because I thought this one sounded so good, I am posting the recipe and video on my trusty blog.
Loaded Baked Potato Soup
6 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 large onion, diced
1 quart chicken broth
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup butter
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 cup cream or 1 cup 1/2 and 1/2 cream
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Garnish: chives, sour cream, bacon, and cheese
Make It!
Combine first 7 ingredients in a large slow cooker and cook on high for
4 hours or low for 8 hours (potatoes should be tender). Then you will
need to mash potatoes until coarsely chopped and soup is slightly
thickened. Stir in cream and cheese. Garnish with toppings.
