This heaping mound of pure yumminess was today's favorite dish. Seriously, I don't think there was a person in the room (besides Addison) who was strong enough to leave it alone for more than a minute or two!! And for that, I fully accept all the blame.
I was introduced to this delicious dish of cranberry craziness a couple weeks ago while I was at the mom's group that I attend once a month. I swear, the second this appetizer touched my lips I knew I had to introduce everyone else to it, too. So, I vowed to make it for Thanksgiving. And I did.
Well, actually, Meghan did, and she did a fabulous job! In fact, I'm pretty sure everyone's hips are thanking her.
So, in keeping with my vow to make sure I have introduced everyone to this awesome (and-oh-so- easy) recipe........here ya go!
You wanted to join a gym in January anyway, right?!
Cranberry Cream Cheese Appetizer
1 8-ounce brick of cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
2 Tbsp honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
1/3 cup slivered almonds
Assorted crackers
Make It!
In a small bowl beat cream cheese, sour cream, honey and cinnamon until smooth then spread onto a serving dish or plate. In another bowl, stir cranberry sauce until it reaches a spreading consistency and spread over the cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with almonds. Cover and chill for 2 to 3 hours. Serve with crackers and enjoy!
