1) ran a 5k with a good good friend and running partner. My time was stinky, but it felt so good to be running again. Due to some family things I haven't been able to run since the middle of July, so it felt great to be back pounding the pavement even if I was a little rusty.
2) took some time to make the free Becky Higgins cards. Nothing fancy, just a print and call it good after-you-adhere-them-to-some-cardstock type of thing. But it was so awesome to make the time to do do the printing and the adhering! On her blog she has a couple of the cards just cut out and paper clipped to a fun notebook-- I loved that idea the second I saw it so I am hoping in the next couple of weeks to make a few of those myself. I'm thinking they'd make great little gifts?
3) I read a book. Well, maybe not the whole book, only 3/4 of it, but holy cow, was that ever nice. The best part was I even liked the book! I don't usually buy books "title unheard" or without a lot of research (I'm quite picky about my books) but this one for whatever reason caught my eye at Target one day a couple months back, so I bought it. And loved it. Makes me wish I could just sit and read like that more often!
4) and finally, I went to church. It was so great to enjoy some music and hear a good message while I drank a coffee (or smoothie, depending on the day!) It was just what I needed to feel re-charged and re-newed for the week ahead.
