Tile Coasters.

I did it. I finally made some coasters. They have been on my to-do list for what seems like forever, and I finally got around to making them this weekend. I don't know why it took me so long to get to them, I mean, not only were they super easy, but they were so stinkin' inexpensive it wasn't even funny! Three sheets of scrapbook paper, 8 ceramic tiles and two sheets of white felt was all I needed to buy. Seriously people, this project didn't even cost $5.00 that's how economical it was!

Assembling them was just as easy. All I did was cut my patterned paper a little smaller than my tile, used a little spray adhesive to stick it onto the tile then covered the whole thing with mod-podge. Once the mod-podge was dry, I cut the felt the same size as my tiles then glued it to the bottom of the tiles with some tacky glue.  That was it. Easy peasy. But very fun. Very theraputic.

  1. I love these. I made some a few months back, and they didn't turn out NEARLY as good. Since it's so inexpensive, I may have to try again! Thanks for sharing! I'm your newest follower. :)

  8. I've done this project as well, and it's one of those things that makes you wonder if all those people you thought were soooo talented and crafty are really just applying mod podge to things and making it look easy. Ammirite? Yours look great!
